Storming Paris with a mobile, bike-powered personal park infrastructure

With local collaborators Dedale, Rebar storms Paris, France with 12′ tall blades of grass to create a mobile and very personal park infrastructure … all deployed by bicycle. The tour is conceived of as a hybrid between a Critical Mass type of bicycling event and Park(ing) Day.

Using elements prefabricated by Rebar as well as items created during the public workshop, Rebar lead a public tour from the Cité Universitaire through the city of Paris toward the Second Arrondissement. The tour group created a series of temporary public spaces along the tour route, occupying parking spaces and other spaces in need of temporary remodeling.
